Hi all,

Just found this forum and its amazing, i recently bought a house which had Hikvision CCTV system in it and the owner didn't leave any passwords or unbind the NVR or Doorbell which wasn't helpful and now I cant contact her. With the help of the forum, i manage to use SADP tool and email Hikvision for the reset code and got back the CCTV.

I'm having issues with the doorbell. We have a new router as the the previous owner removed hers. The doorbell cant connect to WIFI. When i do a reset of the device (15 secs) and its say something like" Wifi configure mode" I scan the QR code and met with a screen

"doorbell has been added to ***@emailaddres.com

The only two options are Apply for sharing, and unbind device. No options for WIFI connect so i can scan it with the SADP tool to export the reset file.

Any ideas how i can connect it to WIFI if its already been bound to an account?

Many thanks

Mike

I don't think the doorbell is being reset if it prompts you to unbind after powering back on. Try the 30, 30, 30 trick and keep reset pressed at all times;

1) Press reset and wait 30 secs
2) Turn off power to the doorbell with reset still pressed
3) Wait 30 secs
4) Turn power back on and keep reset pressed another 30 secs before letting go

The unit should power cycle and and flash red and allow you to set it up from scratch

Also having this exact same issue and the above solution didn't help. It's still connected to the previous home owner's account and I have no way of contacting them.

Hi @Fallout

We don't have this doorbell to test it ourselves, but the below fix has been posted online for the same issue, which hopefully helps:
In the Hikvision app, go to “more” and configure network. Then, scan the QR and use the camera on the doorbell to take a picture of the generated code. I was adding the device from the main screen.

Thanks Kyle, I tried this and made some progress and managed to reset the admin password, only to find that the device apparently doesn't support unbinding unless I pay a specialist £50 to do it!
