Using a beam to trigger a camera?

Hi all, I would like to fit some kind of beam sensor, which I can use to trigger a camera to make either take a video or photo. I am able to affix a reflector on post opposite my gate, and can get direct line of sight to that from my garage.
I can easily pull another cable in from the NVR to the garage for power and signal to the transmitter. I can’t however get power on the other side of the road.
On the receiver end I want something which can be replaced easily if bashed by the verge cutter, and not something which is blatantly obvious. A simple reflector would be ideal if possible.
Additionally with just one sensor I can see leaves breaking the beam in the wind, is it possible to have 2 spaced roughly 600mm vertically apart?
Any ideas on a product with a decent IP rating and powered one end only?
NVR is 7608 i series and cams are 4K G2’s with a 7line ANPR.

Maybe have a look at the Optex range:

Or Luminite:

Or GJD:

Thanks for getting back to me. I have looked through a range of these and the specs seem a little ambiguous in regards to the ability to detect specifically fast moving objects such as cars/quad bikes at night. Obviously a single sensor such as a PIR would be preferred. However I would be very disappointed if something could fly by at 70-80mph and it didn’t trigger the sensor. Have you come across this issues before?

Unfortunately, if something is travelling that fast at night you have very little chance of capturing useful evidence without a very specialist setup :(
Basically, to capture good images of fast moving objects you need fast shutter speeds and LOTS of light.

It’s not having a good image I am that bothered by, the ANPR when played back gives a perfectly good enough video. What I in effect want is a simple trigger to let me know somethings been by, the Acusense cameras just miss anything above 20mph when fully dark. Therefore if I want to find a passing vehicle I have no way of doing so without playing back whole of the night footage to find it. :)
