Thank you @Dan So this helps in some ways as of of the two NVRs I have - one is a 7608 that I purchased from UseIP so I know you'll support me if that one fails. The other is a 7616, which is inherited from a site so unknown original seller. Given that Hikvision stated this only affects 7608...
Hi is there any update on this ? Maybe around the 'standard process' and what Hikvision will do if they have an inherited NVR and do not know who the original reseller / installer was?
Ultimately Hikvision cannot refuse to support customers here, since this is clearly a design fault, and if...
Hi @Dan thank you for this update really useful and thank you again for supporting us by pushing Hikvision on this. It is disappointing that they cannot give more precise details about what they will do about this issue. This is clearly a fault that was present at the time of manufacture...
I think that confirms that still several months later Hikvision have not fixed the problem even in the later 4.61.010.
Personally I think they should pull the firmware from the portal until they resolve this issue.
Will Hikvision still swap the NVR if returned directly by the end user who may...
Is there any update from Hikvision on when they will complete the firmware releases for affected cameras? I believe they stated 24 September was the date they expected to do that, however it is now well past that date and many of the cameras affected still do not have updated firmware.
Ah useful thank you - these are old cameras, but use R6 series firmware, which seems unaffected. So for my cameras just waiting for R7 series updates now. These are HiLook branded in my case.
Is it possible to find out if DS-2CD2F22FWD-IS is affected? I don't see new firmware for it, so assume not, but there is a model listed that is the same except for the final F
Thanks @Phil much appreciated.
What woudl have been good, is to directly link from the advisory page to each firmware update needed for the models referenced.
Also would be good if they could actually put Firmware for the HiLook PTZ-Nxxx cameras on the EU or UK portals, even for the older...
Yesterday evening I received an email from Hivision detailing a critical vulnerability in a number of their products and a link to new firmware.
The advisory is: Here
It appears I have two camera models affected by this, as they match the document, but the link to new firmware produces no...
I did some tests on a pair of I series NVRs today - a 7616 and a 7608.
The first one I did the 7616 had no issues logging in directly from the web interface right after the upgrade.
The second - the 7608 however would not login - just presented a wrong password prompt.
I then cleared the...
Thanks for the advance warning about login. Is that something that will be fed back to Hikvision? Seems a serious bug, which would be a problem if trying to remotely update an NVR that is only accessed via the web interface.
Understood these are older cameras now. I have a few DS-2CD2F22FWD-IS which use the same firmware they are all on 5.5.82 build 190909 None of them support a browser other than IE - they display a browser not supported message in Chrome or Firefox. A long shot I know but would be good if...
Ah thanks for that Dan I wasn't aware.
You'd have thought they would have left the 5.6.0 version available for anyone trying to update the original hardware, but that version seesm to have vanished. Thanks for your help Dan.
Edit: I see the 5.6.0 version is still available from the UK...
Hi,
I've just seen that a Hilook camera I have has new firmware available from: PTZ-N2404I-DE3
The Model of the Camera is PTZ-N2404I-DE3 It is currently on FW 5.6.0 which I previously obtained from this location. I see now two new versions 5.6.16 & 5.6.11 However the camera names have...
