ive about had it with hikvision, being able to use a browser is one of the reasons i bought my system, saying that they do record reliably, i will not be upgrading to acusense, as their end user support and nvr firmware upgrades are patchy at best, so im not entrusting more money to hikvsion...
hi is this the latest firmware below for a DS-7608NI-K2 / 8P on the hik presently running V3.4.104 build 190128 , this is what is on the hik uk portal ?
let us know if it does work and all the smart events work, i am wondering if a new firmware on a couple of cams need a setting ticked - noticed something to do with metadata that appeared on a camera config/settings/metadata settings/smart event and is presently unticked - camera is a G1...
i have downgraded the firmware and its working again as it should on all cameras, so looks like its a firmware problem, on the new version, think i will stick on the previous firmware !

found a problem, seem to have lost smart events on 3 cameras, other 4 cameras are fine, unable to get smart events on the timeline for the 3, whastever i try, i even exported camera settings from one of the 3 working cameras, to the same model of the 4 that are not working, rebboted...
thanks dan, i have an older hik turret, thats well out of warranty , will try a aftermarket fixed lens, before i commit to a pricey purchase, been advised to try one of the new dahua models . Would have preferred hikvison..
i have a need for an IP cam for low light night time to pick up facial images as we have a vehicle crime issue on regular basis.
i have hikvision kit currently. Unfortunately the location has bad street lighting , trees etc and i cannot project led lighting over a busy public road to that...
make sure if there is a cable entry point grommet, that it is in place and well sealed - i had a dome that did similar at night - moisture was getting in at night so it was fogging up. re sat the grommet and sealed it , no probs since

rules was not enabled on the nvr, now i enabled it and can see the markers in IE on my laptop via vpn, which is great
thankyou - i didn't expect that to work, i was moving towards it being a VPN related issue and writing a vpn rule
