So, despite thinking I had the latest NVR firmware I double checked and managed to find a more recent version in 2023. So far this has fixed the issue...
Same here, I have exactly the same issue. I'm convinced the connection threads are not being closed down by hikvision's software and this is the root of this problem.
Update: Comparing the female RJ45 socket from the camera to one of my other cameras it appears that the 'flat connector PIN' is unique to the faulty camera. So this must be what is causing the issue. There appears to be no obvious way to allow the pin to pop back up, even using contact cleaner...
