    I have a DDNS service setup, but the IP address is obviously wrong. Yes we are requesting a Static IP address so let's see what happens tomorrow. Thanks again!

    Just confirmed. The IP address is Dynamic but can be changed to static by request.

    Thanks for the reply Dan. 1) We have a 4200 Hikvision 16 channel DVR working on solar power and fast satellite broadband internet. 2) We have a remote computer with the Hikvision Client software installed for viewing the cameras. 3) We also have Internet Explorer with the plug in for logging in...

    Hikvison 4200 goes offline after a few hours ... or when nobody is watching remotely? The unit is unattended 20 Km away. Why does it go off line on its own? How can I reconnect it remotely?
