I know this is an old thread but I had the same issue. For others looking for a solution I found a fix on another post - you have to log out of the app and log back in again for them to show.
This is despite the app being aware of name changes etc and even having playback ability, live view...
Full reset did the trick - only one hiccup along the way activating Hik-Connect but now all cameras are back up and running and upgraded to the latest firmware. Thank you for all the suggestions - and the useful guides in this forums.
I note that on the new set up it has a different IP...
My first post was quite long but somewhere in that essay I tried to include that step I had taken but probably didn't explain it well - I hooked up all the cameras (they had 5.5.82) and 4 worked. I used the virtual host to upgrade those. One of the ones that didn't work I tried hard reset first...
I am pretty sure the password I used originally for all cameras and NVR is strong (it showed as such when I tried activating the camera with the same password). As all the cameras were set up originally with the same password it is odd that 4 work and 3 do not. I would have thought it would be...
I have recently dusted off a DS-7608NI-I2/8P which was in storage for a year. I upgraded the firmware from 4.1.50 to 4.61.010.
I reconnected 7 x DS-2CD2385FWD (with firmware 5.5.82) cameras to it which had been working fine when it was put into storage. All cameras are connected directly to...
I'm just wondering if anyone knows what the power draw of a ds-7208NI-I with 8 cameras running over POE and 2xHDDs would be as I'm trying to figure out what size UPS I should get.
I have a an APC BACK-UPS 950VA that is giving me some random errors but it is also running a NAS and I am not sure...
I read a few solutions but have not tested yet -
Both involve getting the camera to do the work and there are 2 sub-solutions:
1. Get the camera to actually send the email (this involves static routes if the camera is attached directly to the NVR)
Hikvision cameras connected to nvr to send...
They are 3/4 inch thread which were not easily available in Australia.
Here is what I posted in another forum about my solution. You should be able to find the metric versions a bit more easily in the UK rather than imperial?
"I replaced the glands with 25mm ones from Bunnings which I could...
This did not fix the large OSD text introduced in 5.5.3 (intermittent bug) and it seemed to break the live view when logging directly into the camera via virtual server but not when accessed via the NVR web interface. I was prompted to upgrade the web component (IE) after install and it just...
All 8 of my 2385 cameras on 5.5.3 and about half have a large OSD and the others have normal size.
I tested 5.5.4 to see if that solved the problem and even after upgrade it still had large text. It broke the live view though so I downgraded back to 5.5.3 and now it has normal size font...
