Hi,
I have been writing a bash script that would read image snapshots periodically from CCTV cameras.
So far Hikvision has been the easier one.
This url and this wget command seem to work nice. I activated a self signed HTTPS certificate that needed an extra option for wget.

Was a bit too busy to get all information by one reading ... Deselecting resizing works :) Not yet tested with NVR. Another change is that this new method is very CPU intensive with Mac.
Thank you for updates and especially the release notes!
Mixed first impressions with these updates. Installed to one NVR and two cameras. Plugin-free operation has been on the wishist for a long time. However, dependencies to ActiveX and H.264 do not sound like a fulfillment of a dream. It took...
Just tried the upgrade with one camera. It still requires the web plugin.
Disappointed and left a note in the OSD text field of their demo camera ...
This and release notes (among other things) have been requested so many times - why don't they understand how frustrating it is to launch the...
Wow - you chose a piece of the future. AX is beyond my current experience. However - most of the connecting devices today use AC and N standards so it could be better to configure it as an AC router. Seeing it supported by Merlin gives some guarantee of maturity. (some earlier models with their...
Hi Sam,

Hi Sam,
It would be better not to use your NVR in the DMZ zone. If you need external access you could open a port to the NVR in your router. Still better is to set up a VPN server inside your home network and thus avoid open ports.
Of those closed network menus (disabled functions) others are ok...
Very strange things happened with my UI-1009-PA NVR during the past week. It started by occasional crashes and rebootings. Later I found that the video frame rate didn't stay constant and varied between 2...11 fps and there were dropped frames in two important recorded events. (I had set the...
