    Extended forum downtime today!

An automated overnight patch update to our forum server broke it at 1am. It took our host an inexcusable 14hrs to attend to it, and 5mins to fix it! So much for our Managed Service and 1hr SLA?!? It is increasingly likely that for their "persistent knobheadery" they will not be our hosts next...

FAQ Neighbour's CCTV camera is pointing directly into my garden?

Your front garden? Typically, a public area where anyone can see what you do. Or your back garden? An area where you might reasonably expect privacy. As a general rule: Home / private CCTV systems are not covered by the Data Protection Act (do not have to comply with it). There was a case a...

Replacement IOS App for the Express one go App?

Sorry, I'd never heard of that brand before. I've searched and found a few sellers in the UK. There WAS an expressone.co.uk website as shown on datasheets for their products, but that is now gone (has probably been gone for a while as the domain is up for sale). Perhaps contact one of the...

Hilook IP camera - can't access it from the browser?

Can you cycle the power please - switch it off, wait 30 secs, and on again - then check whether you can browse to it. If that doesn't work, we'll try to find the correct current firmware.

Hilook IP camera - can't access it from the browser?

My colleague just shared your other thread (linked below). Did this camera work OK before that failed firmware update? Have you tried an update with the correct firmware? Have you cycled the power to the camera after your last attempt to update the firmware...

Hilook IP camera - can't access it from the browser?

Perhaps try using SADP to change the camera's IP address. Allow the router to DHCP set an address and see whether it then works. Maybe there are rules in your router blocking that high range address? Can you access the DVR OK from the browser?

Hilook IP camera - can't access it from the browser?

OK, thanks. Did you manually set the IP addresses for your DVR and camera? SADP IS finding them, so they seem to be present on the same network as your gateway/router. What other network devices are in-play please? e.g. POE switches, powerline, wireless bridges, etc.

Hilook IP camera - can't access it from the browser?

Double-click on the camera's IP address 192.168.1.226 in row 2 in SADP and it should open your browser at the camera's login web page.
