Motion blur is more likely a result of low shutter speeds in low light and/or lower FPS.
Yes I would like 25 or 30 FPS but they are too intermittently problematic for me.
The 8Mbps bitrate is fine for these cameras though.
I can view mine on a 55 inch OLED TV and the quality is stunningly good...
Yes I did see the same stuttering on playback (the anomalies clearly got recorded).
But since the setting changes playback is now OK for me.
I agree with you, the G5 platform does seem to have some issues.
I too tried various buffer settings - I didn't see any differences though.
One thing to...
No, I didn't mean that.
My main monitor is a multi-camera image (5 or 9 cameras) which are all in sub stream view in that configuration.
On a smart detection the main stream is then recorded but during that process the monitor video stuttered, jumped or had 1 or 2 dark frames.
Those anomalies...
I've since got 4.60.005 working well from the NVR and iVMS.
The critical thing seems to be matching the main stream event video settings to the sub stream settings in video frame rate and i-frames.
So I'm running G5 cameras at 20fps and i-frame at 40.
This means that when watching the live...
Just checked, it is there on 4.60.000 but I'd not noticed it either.
I've enabled it to see what it does.
Update:
Can't see any difference with the setting on or off
I installed the update on my 7732NI-I4 a couple of weeks ago, and on 2 other tech savvy clients 7608NI-I2 NVR.
So far no issues on any of them to make me downgrade.
No camera reconnect issues at reboot.
Minor niggle, NVR playback on higher mega pixel cameras jumps at what appears to be the...
Sorry, I cocked up doing my reply.
Yep the NVR NTP default is normally 60 minutes (which is bonkers), so I've set it to 1440 minutes (24hrs).
Here's why...
Looking at a camera NTP setting via the camera interface my defaults vary according to camera age.
The default for my older PTZ cameras is...
Ah yes, my mistake, I meant to type 600 seconds, the interval that it was previously set to.
I presume 600 is default - I'll check with other installs later.
Sync once a minute is far too often. Once a day sync is perfectly normal for any devices in my IT experience.
If the NVR fails to connect...
JB1970
Since post #6 I've done the 4.60.000 upgrade on the 7732 NVR.
I didn't get the record flag flashing on direct monitoring you mentioned.
I also changed the time sync interval on the NVR to 1440 seconds rather than 60 secs, on the theory that it could have been updating the time on the...
I upgraded my 7732NI NVR to 4.60.000 a few days ago, direct via USB stick.
All is well with a mixture of generic PTZ, HiLook, and Hikvision cameras including G2 ColorVu cams.
False triggering & flickering date/image on the 8MP ColorVu cameras now seems to be mostly resolved.
Performance overall...
Download & view the mp4 files from the Dropbox link below, 3 very short videos of the problem for me...
The videos show no real event in VCA but do show the date/flicker issue.
You'll likely need to use the Hikvision VSPlayer to view them.

They were created from the videos...
JB, I updated one 2387 to 5.7.2 and installed iVMS 3.6.1.3 on the PC, disabling the modules I don't need.
The custom views are useful and switch quickly.
The built in NVR interface is the same as the web version but now I can get to all 4 intrusion/line crossing zones (only 3 in Chrome view...
Hi JB
There is definitely something weird going on with our ColorVU cameras!
2CD2387G2-LU
Every so often, even with no smart motion detected, the camera momentarily changes the date colour to black (or inverts it) along with the momentary image (dark flash). The issue triggers a recording on...
GP
I've had to reduce the bitrate on my 2387G2's to 8192kbps because the recordings were 'jumpy'.
Re the lines/blinds, yes they look like hum bars but they are not caused by the usual earth loop phenomena, or electrical interference in this case.
As JB mentioned its something to do with WDR and...
