I don't think it continuously records, but records in bursts when it identifies movement.

Hey all I recently replaced by original HDD with a newer higher capacity drive. What I want to know is, will this automatically increase the footage that it stores for or is there a setting to increase the time it stores the footage for? Thanks in advance!

Okay I've opened up the lid and the model number of the HDD currently in there is: ST4000VX007. It's a 4TB 3.5" 5900 RPM HDD. When I look on Seagate's website for Seagate Skyhawk Surveillance, the RPM's now available for this product range are 5400 RPM. Will that be a problem or not really?

What HDD does this NVR take? Is it a 3.5 inch standard HDD? How can I find out the model number if I want to get an exact like for like replacement?
