Is there such an app/software? i found a windows app but as my laptop is de-bloated etc i cannot use the download center and its a faf to reinstate it so if anyone can suggest an app that can do this i would be grateful as running the std Hikvision software is very processor hungry.

Not sure just why that would matter that much when the laptop will cope with 4K playback using on-board trans-coding?

Three ColorVu 4mp cameras variable bit rate H.265 2688*1520 continuous, i only have a problem with the remote playback from the NVR otherwise its fine direct the whole setup is quite new.

I have what i think are two different versions of the iVMS4200 and the professional version on my laptop and i have mostly been using them for live view and some configuration but on trying to use playback from the NVR it becomes very slow and buggy and usually ends up hanging or just doesn't...

Yes i have that's when it just came back with "failed" thanks for the links i will have a go manually and see what happens, by the way i seem to have found two versions of the ivms 4200 software one says client and the other has 3.2.0.10 after it which is the current?

Thanks the cameras are connected via POE switches and i can log in remotely the firmware versions i can find listed are : NVR =V3.4.107 B19 Cameras=V5.6.2 B1907

Is the PC your useing conected to the same network as the NVR is on?

Thanks for that tried to update the NVR using the Pro software and it failed so presume that its up-to date cant find how to update the cameras but i would suspect that they are also up to date being recently purchased?

Here is an odd one this has happened three times so far and only when making an adjustment to any setting on the NVR but the first was when adjusting the camera light, Once set and saved the light proceeded to switch on and off several times and then settled down, the second i cant remember what...

Looking for a POE HDD recorder 4-8 channel thats capable of supporting and configuring four cameras of 5mp or more with good night vision (no visible light) motion tracking and audio recording hoping i can get this for around £400 is this possible.
