If you had one camera with those symptoms, I would say it was a bad camera... but 2 cameras like that it does seem like maybe a firmware issue... ideally, you need someone running the same firmware to help :(

grasping at straws now... Try reformatting the SD card? What "Formatting Type" does the card have? Is the card encrypted? What record schedule are you using? Is overwrite checked?

Howdy... Seems like a hardware issue, but you have two cameras with the same symptoms, so I would check that you are running the latest firmware... assuming you have the "Global EN" region cameras, the latest firmware is: found here: DS-2DE2C400MWG-E If you have the latest firmware already...

Should be fine... just try connecting the original outside camera 1 to the NVR PoE port 1 with a short cable again to make sure nothing has changed and the camera still works. That's not cheating!... you must have pass-thru connectors which are easier to work with (I used those too):

Yes, if you only have 1 cable coming in from outside, then you must connect that cable to the LAN not to a PoE port on the NVR. You can let the main router give them DHCP addresses or configure the IP address on each one manually. Yes, since you only have one cable going from the basement to...

If you have an extra/spare short cable that is working and extra connectors, you could try/practice by replacing one of the connectors on that... then test the camera with it to see if what you did worked... if not, try again until you can successfully crimp the connector on the extra test...

In your case, it might be as simple as clicking on "Download Plug-in", closing the bowser, installing the plug in that was downloaded (just run the .exe), and maybe restarting your PC... try that!
