It is squashed for me also on HIK Connect when you first go into the stream but there is a button bottom right of the steam with two arrows to expand the view. If you do this it will fill the screen. The first picture posted by Kyle shows the expanded view that I get.

For your info on IR range. This is the image from my 6mm 4mp GO camera. The back fence that is top of picture is 30m away. The camera is mounted at 5m on the wall. Also pic for comparison showing daytime image

Or you could bin the NVR and just connect the cameras and manage them by either IVMS or browser. The Hikvision cameras have SD card support so recording on the camera is available using this option but I am not sure how you can access the recorded footage. I expect admin will be able to advise...

I believe. Darkfighter uses specifically designed hardware and software to gain better images in the dark whereas the "Powered By" range only uses the Darkfighter sotware to do the same. I stand to be corrected though as I've not researched this, just picked it up from a review here;
