Mine show markers for smart events (line crossing, intrusion detection, etc.), but not for basic motion detection... the next M series firmware release is scheduled for "after Christmas"... maybe it will be fixed with that.
If you right click with the mouse connected to the NVR, you should see a menu pop up, then select "Full Screen"... that will get rid of the icons and the left margin... right click again and select "Exit Full Screen" to get the icons/menus back...
Do you see how the picture is off the screen...
Use the buttons on the monitor (or remote control if it has one) to go into the monitor menus and set the correct monitor resolution... "correct" is whatever it was before the power cut.
If you can log into the NVR GUI from your PC... there should be settings similar to these that tell you what...
easier maybe to just delete this whole thread and start over .. hit the "..." at the top /right of the thread and delete thread... start a new thread and we'll go from there
no you should be able to delete it... i was probably wrong to say click on it... the picture is like 1 character of text.... click just to the right of it you should see the cursor blinking there and then backspace it
OK, that doesn't always work...did the error code (that was 0x1007 on the Hik-connect setting page) change?
Also, probably better to remove the phone app device page above as it shows the NVR serial number, not a big deal, but better to not show it.
Then, try changing your preferred DNS server to 8.8.8.8
EDIT: You will need to uncheck "Enable obtain DNS serv..." before you can manually edit the DNS server to 8.8.8.8
Now I'm rambling on about something I've already gotten over... you can drag the tabs to reorder them, but after a re-boot the system puts them back where it wants... so what's the point in letting me reorder them if they don't stay that way :(
Yes... here's where to set it from the NVR web GUI for generic event motion detection:
There are also smarter intrusion detection and line crossing events if you hit "Perimeter Protection".
For anyone interested in the source code or compiling the executable on their own, I have published the "Hikvision Image Parameters Switch Utility" project to GitHub:

It's my first time using GitHub so let me know if something...
If you have a mouse and monitor connected to the NVR, since you're getting that error message, maybe copy the .dav file to a USB flash drive and try installing from the NVR menus.
I'm reviewing this thread, and I see @JB1970 just slipped this ^^^^ in and nobody seemed to notice... I can't stop cracking up LOL LOL LOL
This is probably not relevant, but I notice in your video you have 99+ unread notifications... I wonder how many there are? Reminds me of my neighbor with...
