That would seem to be the case, but why don't the file sizes update and change when the resolution is adjusted. The manual, for the App iVMS doesn't offer and explanation.

Hi thanks for the response. The references to file size seems related to the choice of resolution but the numbers don't change when I adjust the resolution ?? But I still don't know what G refers to.

I'm tweaking the configuration of my new 4mp Hikvision camera. The camera reports that the recorde file size is 5G. Can anyone tell me what 5g refers to ?
