I did via a usb stick, wouldn't work via IE, which was a pain as the NVR is in the garage and no monitor hooked up

Setup is fine but I did format the Hdd as old recordings had gone.

brought the NVR into the house, plugged into the TV and put in a usb with the update on... system has been updated. good spot @Thebug shame it doesn't update via a browser..

I tried on mine via 4500 and ie and both don't even start then fail. Currently on V3.4.106 build 190702 DS-7608NI-K2 / 8P

I tried to update it.. failed within a micro second..

yeah figured as much thanks.. this is useless to me as I am stream them to my home automation system..

Hello Is it possible to set cameras to have a local IP address when connected to the NVRs POE ports please? I am guessing not and I will need to keep using my Netgear switch plugged into the NVR? Cheers Mark

Thanks for the speedy reply Dan. Does it have a windows client like QVR Pro, where you can check back on footage etc? Also, if I did go for the 4 channel version, can you add a 5th using my other POE switch or is it 100% limited via the software?

Hello, I currently run 4x8k HikVision cameras on my QNAP via QVR Pro and it is starting to cripple the NAS box. So I am starting to look at ta dedicated NVR or decent software I can run on a seperate PC. Any ideas please? I don't need POE in the NVR as I have a 8 port netgear switch already up...
