Door Entry Have I purchased the correct door camera? [DS-KV61X3-(w)PE1(c)]

A 25 year career in networks would probably do that :) Agreed, this isn't exactly a plug and play configuration, so happy if you want to remove the posts to stop any confusion.

Door Entry Have I purchased the correct door camera? [DS-KV61X3-(w)PE1(c)]

Sorry if I didn't make this clear - Both the primary door station and the indoor station are in PoE ports on the NVR. The indoor station is connected to Hik-Connect, and calls and notifications come through on the app, and to the secondary indoor station, and to phone handsets that are...

Door Entry Have I purchased the correct door camera? [DS-KV61X3-(w)PE1(c)]

Should probably add that there's a static route to the the camera subnet with the NVR LAN subnet address as the gateway added on the router, to allow return traffic...

Door Entry Have I purchased the correct door camera? [DS-KV61X3-(w)PE1(c)]

The intercom is plugged into a PoE port on the NVR - DS-7608NI-I2. I do not have Hik-Connect on the NVR set up, but have configured this on the indoor station (also using a PoE port). I do have virtual host setting configured to allow the camera side LAN access through the NVR to the internet.

Door Entry Have I purchased the correct door camera? [DS-KV61X3-(w)PE1(c)]

Dan, Could you dig deeper into this explanation please? I have a DS-KV6113-WPE1(C) in the back of the NVR, and notifications work just fine.

DS-7608NI-I2/8P NVR playback using HTTP versus HTTPS?

To clarify - The HTTP/HTTPS issue is not just mac (If configured using HTTP I can get live view and playback on Safari on Mac (I thought this hadn't worked for a while?) and Chrome on Windows.) Issue persists when running on stream2 (i.e. low resolution) (...but can view all four on stream2...

DS-7608NI-I2/8P NVR playback using HTTP versus HTTPS?

Yes, on HTTP, but not on HTTPS - that is the real question here...

DS-7608NI-I2/8P NVR playback using HTTP versus HTTPS?

Hi @Dan Not sure what question was asked, but how does this relate to streaming working over http but not over https? Thanks

DS-7608NI-I2/8P NVR playback using HTTP versus HTTPS?

    DS-7608NI-I2/8P V4.51.005 build 210628 with: 1. DS-2CD2365G1-I - V5.6.5 build 200316 2. DS-2CD2355FWD-I - V5.6.5 build 200316 3. DS-2CD2355FWD-I - V5.6.5 build 200316 4. DS-2CD2555FWD-IS -V5.6.5 build 200316 I've update my ageing NVR for a DS-7608NI-I2/8P and have noted some interesting...

    iVMS-4500 Lite on iPad

Wanted to come back on this. I bought a new iPad Air 4 and the issue goes away. As an experiment I hard reset my old iPad Air 2, installed iVMS-4500 afresh as the only non-default app and the issue remains, so looks like the app and older hardware are not compatible.

    NTP Spamming

I've recently changed the logging on my firewall and have found that one of my four DS-2CD2355FWD-I cameras is hitting the firewall every 10 SECONDS for NTP, even though the setting is for 60 minutes. All four cameras are configured the same and are running V5.6.5 build 200316, but only one...

    iVMS-4500 Lite on iPad

Interesting. Sticking point for me is my NVR (DS-7604NI-K1 / 4P) doesn't have a V4 firmware, latest is V3.4.103 Also, if I bypass the NVR and go direct to the camera, the issue is still there...

    iVMS-4500 Lite on iPad

Example. Given the latest update was less than a week ago, I’d say it looks like updates are still being developed

    iVMS-4500 Lite on iPad

Not seen this posted anywhere, but the issue is also mentioned in the app reviews on AppStore. Using iVMS-4500 on iPad, when selecting "clear" resolution, the right 2/3 of the display displays as green box, with no image. Using "fluent" doesn't experience the issue, image is displayed...

Unable to browse to the IP Address of my Hikvision NVR? ("Can't reach this page" error message in IE)

You said: The said NVRs were ping-able. Do you mean the ARE pingable now, or they WERE pingable when things worked, but not now?

Unable to browse to the IP Address of my Hikvision NVR? ("Can't reach this page" error message in IE)

So you have specifically designed your topology to be in different subnet? In this case what are you using to route between them? Did you set this all up yourself?

Unable to browse to the IP Address of my Hikvision NVR? ("Can't reach this page" error message in IE)

With that subnet mask your pc is in a different subnet than the NVR’s. - What has changed since this was last working? - what led you setup with a topology like this?
