The "other" site is mainly for pros and installers. This site is really for beginners and DIY people. Dan and the crew can only handle so much, so I think we all very much appreciate someone of your caliber taking the time to help us. Many thanks, JB.
Also maybe try disabling any browser extensions, particularly those dealing with video play such as the popular "Disable HTML5 Autoplay" or other similar extensions.
That cam is tripping every minute or so. Something is wrong with your settings. You should revisit your min/max boxes, threshold, etc.
I suspect you're not getting all those because either the NVR or the app is overwhelmed with sending so many notifications.
@Phil I'm having trouble finding my firmware. I have eight G1 cameras and neither the U.S. nor the U.K. websites have any G1 firmware that I can find. Current firmware for all eight is 5.6.5 200316
I have seven DS-2CD2347G1-L cameras, and one DS-CD2455FWD-IW. All G1's, but there's no firmware...
Thanks Phil. All eight of my cameras are affected. Now to try and find the U.S. firmware folder that seems to change several times a year...
Edit - for the Yankees out there: Firmware
@Phil does this update have anything to do with the problems outlined in this article? See paragraph three. There sure aren't a lot of NVR manufacturers and that's one of the devices affected by this new vulnerability...
This is where we have the disconnect. This is what is broken as of two years ago. Before that, when enabled (which I thought I'd explained but apparently did not), tapping an event notification required the same level of access as tapping on the app icon. At some point about two years ago that...
I will give this one more try since you still do not understand. There are apps that always require authentication when using that app, whether it is a password or biometrics (fingerprint in my case). I am quite sure you cannot simply tap on your banking app and go straight to your accounts...
That's not what the problem is. Normally you cannot get into the Hik app unless you either sign in or, in my case, use a fingerprint. It's always been like that. You can't just click the icon and go straight into the app - just like banking apps, investment apps, etc. What cropped up with the...
I've mentioned this for several years but now I'm making a dedicated thread.
On my Android phone, when I get a smart event notification I click on it. It takes me directly to that notification, which allows me to view the video, etc. However, I can now back out of that notification and I'm in...
Early on I tried it myself and never got it to work on the cameras. I recall that several years ago there was a discussion about having to name the exported file in just a certain way, and maybe that it had to be placed on the root "C" drive before importing. Aside from attempting it a few times...
