I have been looking more closely at the logs and there are a lot of motion detection entries around the time of the shut down so I wonderer if that might be a sign of heavy activity. I have switched off motion detection for now as it records 24/7 to see if that helps - it won't of course solve...

A power loss alert might do the job, I have only found a setting relating to a camera power loss rather than the NVR though and I wonder if that will work if its a full system power loss? Could you point me to the right setting if possible please? Thanks.

I have just done a reboot via the web interface and the virtual host setting was lost during it, so I am able to reproduce the issue if that helps?
