I missed that as I was looking around in the local UI. Pre event has had issues on and off across other models. It was working where if you were recording 24/7, but set the pre event to 5 seconds that smart playback, event playback and the Hik-Connect clip playback would honour that setting...
From the popup message it sounds as though it's intentional that 2 way audio doesn't work. It seems to be strange logic; I could understand if the microphone didn't work when there's a privacy mask set, preventing 'listen in'.
Mouse scroll on frame by frame is still reversed. It's been so long I can't remember the other previously reported issues. There's no 5 second pre playback for events which is a pain. In V5 I'm not even sure where you would set it; there's nothing in the equivalent of Storage > Advanced..
I think you're overcomplicating it. If your cameras are connected to the PoE ports of the NVR, they are isolated from the internet by the NVR. Just carry out all programming using the NVR, as the detection areas etc are saved by the NVR onto the camera. "Notify surveillance center' is enabled...
Yes that was an unusual bug that wouldn't affect most so it'll be interesting to see if it's still there (I didn't get chance to try and recreate that problem)
I don't recall needing to do that but several other users have reported similar. Only guessing but perhaps I added my doorbell in with the very first iteration of V5 and the 'Device Type Mismatch' issue was introduced after that first version.
I would say thats normal. If you purchase a new...
Think it was me...
Device Access > Device Configuration > PoE Settings - switch off the 'Network Camera Plug and Play' switch for POE 1 and POE 8.
Device Access > Device > Video Device - add them back in again
I had a similar situation - a video doorbell on the main network. You also need to...
No such thing! There are regular updates so it's only the 'latest' version briefly.
As of now 'latest' is 5.02.008_240425 with Hik-Connect at 6.3.0.20240424.2
The slow loading timeline has been around for a while. It had improved but newer versions have made it worse again for me. Sometimes...
@Kyle 5.02.008 has been released. Two different build versions are available depending on whether you visit the UK firmware download page or the UK product page (240419 on the download page, 240425 on the product page)...
Interesting. @uvs-300 it looks from your title that the file has been updated again since you posted. I just downloaded your linked file from the global site then checked the UK site. 5.02.008 has appeared there also in the last 24 hours but with a different build date. UK site is 240419...
Yes it does. With VCA overlay on, the target tracking rectangle shows for both Human and Vehicle. I don't have Vehicle selected in my event setup, so for vehicles just the rectangle is shown in green. For Human however, the rectangle switches between green (human detected), red (alarm) and...
I've just tried the new build (240411) on several 2387G2H-LIU, 2387G2-LU and it works fine. This new build adds 'AcuSearch' tab to the 'System Settings' page. The new function defaults to 'on' and the Metadata Settings > Smart Event now defaults to 'off'. Clearly AcuSearch will do nothing...
As clear as mud then. More often than not we’re seeing different firmware builds listed for different model variants using the same firmware platform version. I’m not sure if that’s intentional or not. The newer build will no doubt load onto any G5 camera regardless of model.
As well as what @Dan has mentioned, keep in mind that the image may look 'soft' as the focal point is intended to be further away. I'd find a used DS-2CD2325FWD-I 2MP Darkfighter. Low light performance is very good (better than the larger MP versions) and in some regards, such as visible...
The configuration to use multiple NVRs is not clear from your description. The issue seems to be that one of the NVRs has the date/time misconfigured (one day out hence the switch from April 11 to April 12?). The NVR doing the recording checks each 5 minutes, sees that the time on the source...
