I have a DS-7716NI-14B with the footage. How do I make sure none of the footage is ever deleted (it was used at a festival to record performances and the cameras are now disconected).

Does it delete everything from it? Also once formatted can I access the NAS share from other computers on the network or is it creating some type of proprietory filesystem? Lastly, once it is initilised does all footage then get automatically save to it? The NetHDD is setup on the NVR and I...

Works fine to local disk but if I set it to a network drive I get The network drive has full read/write access. Ben

From what I can gather I set storage in NVR (to say when I want to record) but the NVR seems to have reduced functionality of motion (i.e. no-expert). Can I set storage/motion in NVR and set the expert parameters in the camera?

Hi, I use Hikvisoin NVR and IP cameras. If I change the camera to one configured with the same IP will it record as though it was the same camera (or will it create a new camera in the playback section)? I could also call it the same camera name?
