Hi Dan the cameras I have are DS-2CD2385G1-I with firmware V5.6.820 build 220519.
All equipment was bought from a reputable trade only supplying company so no ambiguity of it being grey market.
I have DS-7716NI-K4 NVR, used to work fine and for past few months keep receiving live camera failed and also playback issues. when trying any browser.
NVR has latest firmware V4.74.200 build 230522
Afraid I never got to the bottom of this problem. As you say no issues for 5 years.
I have also had the NVR for a few years and never had any issues.
My NVR has always had a fixed ip.
NVR used to do this often but seems to have settled down again.
No idea what the problem was or if it will...

In the past two months when trying to connect NVR through WAN or LAN it struggles to call up login page, when login page does appear it takes considerable time to accept log in details, then after some time it says this is taking too...

I have a couple of Hikvision DS-2CD2385G1-I cameras and would like to know in smart events the number of events that can be set up. I am only able to set up 1. Am i doing anything wrong as I thought there should be 4.
Why does my DS-7716NI-K4 ask to select language and go through wizard every time it is down powered and powered up again? Why can it not just reboot in to English automatically. It gets frustrating and am wondering as to what may happen in a power cut/restore situation.
