Thanks for the update. I have a Reolink doorbell camera and have been meaning to add it to my Hik NVR. When i finally do, at least I know what functionality to expect lol
I recently purchased an old / 2nd hand Hikvision ANPR camera and after tweaking the settings got it working great (DS-2CD4A26FWD-IZS).
I played around with the varied focal to ensure the plate was a good size. I then set the focus up in the day time and set it to manual so that it would not...
Probably unrelated and may not help but my Hik-Connect access on my iphone just stopped after making some minor tweaks on my NVR (changed encryption type and restarted NVR). LAN access was fine. I managed to get it working again with some tinkering.
My NVR Just would not connect in the app like...
@JB1970 - I finally managed to change my default http, RTSP and server ports using the NVR interface directly (browser did not want to do it for some reason). I have another question if thats OK.
What do i now need to change in my port forward / router settings now that I have changed the...
Thanks again! As you suggested, I have added a 2nd local connection instance as a great short term solution (to get the best of both worlds).
Been meaning to replace my ISP router for a while so will bite the bullet and make sure it supports Loopback.
Thanks again for the great expert advice!
Quick update - I successfully configured the DDNS section and Hik-connect app (and port forwarding) and it now gives me the option to change the image resolution in the playback timeline (clear or custom) - which is great! It also lets me have access to the remote configuration of the NVR (never...
quick update - just checked and my 7608NI NVR does not have the 'double stream' option. Maybe only 16 port NVR's have this (more processing power maybe)..
I will have a crack at setting up DDNS access on Hik-Connect (been on the to do list for a while). Do you still get event notifications in...
Hi All,
I have a question I have been meaning to post for some time.
I have a few Hikvision POE cameras linked up to my i Series NVR (V4.40.016 build20200803). Unfortunately I don’t have access to fibre so my NVR is connected to the internet via ADSL , just means I have poor upload speeds...
Awesome - thanks again. Bitrate is the one that I know least about.
Am having fun with the image settings plus adding my own exterior lighting. Your advice has massively helped on this!
That’s great info - has given me the confidence to go with 265!
one more ask if that’s ok. Current camera settings I have are in the pic . Any changes you would recommend for best video quality (particularly at night)
Really helpful post as I am also playing with settings.
Quick question - Do you prefer H264 over the other variants in terms of best image quality?
Thanks again Dan
Update - still happening even though I added my own min and max boxes.
I am going to try switching to H264 as an experiment, I worry 265 is to processor intensive and so causes this issue. Will let you know if that works.
Failing that - will try an I series NVR rather than K.
Thanks
