Hik-Connect Stability of Hikvision and Hik-Connect notifications?

My plan was to install a secure and robust professional CCTV system, and not buy into a "hobby" "project". Hikvision seems, at the moment, rather flakey. One minute it works, the next poof!. Off line and no warnings re Hik-Connect. One minute I get loads of "motion detection alarms" on...

    Hik zone disarm?

Thanks Dan for your prompt reply. Yeah, one key disarm is simply a pair of wires from the no1 N/O contacts on the back of the NVR. Useful in a system where all cams are in say a warehouse. Disarm in the morning-arm on the way out, via a keyswitch, or whatever, to close/open those contacts...

Help with Hikvision ip camera off line.

HI, I had a turret cam go off-line, not sure why but I was messing around. Am I right that SADP will only find devices on an NVR if the computer is plugged directly into a NVR PoE port? It's a damn nuisance trying to press reset button on an inaccessable cam. so: Pull the errant...

    Hik zone disarm?

Hi, I’m familiar with the one key disarm I/O on the Hik I series 16channel NVR. Updated with latest firmware. Is it possible to “zone” the disarm? OK, the scenario. I have a house with some cams. Then I have a 30metre distant workshop, hard-wired with cat6 back to the house NVR (or router)...

    One Key Disarm - DS-7616NI-K2-16P

I know this thread is a bit "mature", but one-key to disarm the entire CCTV system is a great idea. As I read this, you use one of the NO I/O contacts on the back of the NVR and run a pair of wires to perhaps a keyswitch located at the front door. So you can disarm during the day. Well, why not...

    Hikvision Linkage Methods?

Phil, the event config help file is very useful. The problem I have is the old eyes are not as sharp as they used to be. Is there a larger typeface copy available? Regards Michael

Acusense threshold crossing on one cam triggers another cam?

How many time a day does a man get round to thanking a stranger? Again, thank you JB1970 the penny (or should I say Yuan) is finally dropping. I most appreciate your input. Best regards Michael

Acusense threshold crossing on one cam triggers another cam?

Yep. Untick "turn on audio and light alarm" in linkage action. Re-tick audio for front door and that works fine now. I'm curious though. Imagine a 16 cam setup why have a front garden strobe go off when a workshop 150metres away was being burgled? Do you know it possible to set up separate audio...

Acusense threshold crossing on one cam triggers another cam?

Upgreade was simple. I didn't bother to put the firmware .dav file on the root. I went for the easy option. Create new folder on desktop drag the zip file, unpack and go to cam via Firefox and maintenance, browse and voila! Thanks chaps

Acusense threshold crossing on one cam triggers another cam?

Jb1970. That's defo what I have done. I assumed the linkage actions were bound to each cam, rather than global. Simple solution. Thank you for the heads-up Michael

Acusense threshold crossing on one cam triggers another cam?

Ok, Now sorted the .cpgz extension. The zip file was corrupted. I pasted the link into Safari and downloaded the 78mb file. Unzip and voila! I get a .dav file. Hik don't like to make things easy do they? I did notice the C appended to the firmware file. Yep, I get it, the C refers to the new...

Acusense threshold crossing on one cam triggers another cam?

Dan, Confused is right. I keyed in the model number in Hik search in their UK download portal, and that was what they offered. OK, it was easy to upgrade the ISU previously, so download the zip move to a new folder and unzip. But not the 5.5.801_21105. Oh no, it unzips into a .cpgz file. I was...

Acusense threshold crossing on one cam triggers another cam?

Hi, Bench testing: My NVR DS-7616NI-I2/16P (FW 4.51.007:210818) I have one Acusense fixed turret DS-2DC2386G2-ISU/SL (F/W 5.5.800:210628 working OK. Flashing strobe/audio warning on line crossing. (garden). I set up another Acusense, this time DS-2CD2386G2-IU (FW 5.5.131) on another POE...

Hikvision smart events - is it better to configure them on the camera or the NVR?

Oh dear, so changing settings on AcuSense (ISU) cams attached to I-series NVR. But the NVR GUI doesn't support manipulation of all smart functions of the cams. So tweak cams via web, or iVMS. But then reboot NVR to synchronise each time cams are tweaked. But how does that work in real life...

    NVR Located in Workshop

Good morning Dan. I'm back after a long break. I'd appreciate you looking over the attached. I have one of your DS 7616NI-I2 NVRs and would like to locate it in my workshop. I'd most appreciate heads-up and any useful observations. Regards Michael

Firmware Hikvision 7604NI-K1 nvr firmware upgrade?

Hi, I notice one of the tutorials (Part 8) suggest updating firmware via a web browser. I just upgraded my NVR via iVMS4200 and after five minutes of nail biting I was able to log back in and see the upgrade was successful. Might I suggest that using iVMS circumvents the ideosyncracies...

Hikvison NVR - REMOTE VIEWING ON INTERNET EXPLORER

Hi Dan, I'm still struggling to set up internet access on my I series NVR. As for port forwarding, are there any issues (caveats) for using HTTPS over HTTP? I'm no network expert, so please bear with me. Maybe Hik connect for any of my (planned) authorised users may cause problems if I use a...

Looking for some design help - 4 cameras on my home / 4 on my garage?

Phil, If a dual uplink PoE switch is used, then could it be connected directly to a port on the NVR? Would this not negate the need to load up the router, and also allow direct access to the attached cameras via the NVR. Is there a catch?
