Hello,
What is the latest firmware for this unit please?
I have the Hikvision iDS-9632NXI-18/16S
Firmware Version: V4.1.28, Build 200603
HMS Version V3.4.1
I also use their latest app ( which is so much better than Hik btw... )
But no, I have not experienced that issue before ( I use the app daily ).
It might genuinely be that your connection ( especially on mobile data ) is unstable? I know in South Africa, our mobile data is a gamble.
I hate Hikvision.
Installed the new firmware on the NVR
V4.61.067 build 220928
Suddenly, can no longer set the LIVE View Settings for the HDMI outputs.
What a joke, now I need to drive to the client site.
iOS app, what I meant was, the HikConnect App now looks like the Ezviz App, since they own EZviz I think they used those devs to upgrade the Hik Connect App.
It's a good change is what I meant.
Now they must fix their horrible NVR software & fix iVMS 4200
In fact, they must learn from...
Hikvision essentially moved over to the Ezviz App from the looks off it, not bad.
They also added the most important feature for me which I am so glad ( after 5 years of asking them weekly ).
We can now filter the notifications on the device !!
Thank you for the new App Hikvision, really...
You can also look at Reolink, for the flat, WiFi cameras and small footprint.
Not good quality, but will work.
Uniview has Wifi options that are rock solid.
Hikvision if you don't value your time.
Put this by the garden house it will pick up your home WiFi if it is 30m away with clean line of sight

Otherwise, put two and form a Point-to-Point network.
I think so, can't think why not?
If cost is an issue, look at Uniview
Alternatively, Hikvision's new Analog range is plenty capable and includes ColorVu and Accusense on the DVR itself.
but normal IP cameras will be much easier
Uniview has wireless options at a great price point ( Hikvision level brand, if not better )
If you want something cheap cheap. ( both in reliability and functionality ) then look at Reolink or Xiaomi, both have wireless cameras. I personally would choose Xiaomi over Reolink ( better image...
I exported the log from a facial terminal, but seems some obscure encoding, I assume Hikvision has special software to read these debug files, anyone have a copy of the software?
As we can see, they have encrypted it / encoded it to probably need a special viewer.
