Hik-Connect Hikvision HD display now not available on Android tablet?

Changed nothing, just turned the tablet screen back on this morning. Nothing has been updated, no new cameras added either. I cannot answer any of the questions as I don’t know. The installer set it all up and has access to all that data. I’ve called him couple times and text but he not...

Hik-Connect Hikvision HD display now not available on Android tablet?

I’ve recently had a Hikvision 8MP 4k camera set up installed, with an always on display enabled on a tablet. It’s been working fine but today I cannot view the multi camera split screen on HD as it is greyed out. When I change view to single camera then it automatically changes it to Hd, but...

Tablet for Hikvision viewing at home?

Just an update. IP Cctv installed, fully operational always on display on both a Xiaomi tablet iPad set up just the way you suggested, thank you. Even the installer learned something new as he didn’t think this was possible.

Tablet for Hikvision viewing at home?

So anything half decent would work, but the main thing is that it needs to run on android so that it has full access to the apps on their version of the app store. I’m looking at Lenovo, Samsung and Xiaomi….all decent brands for what I need it for.

Tablet for Hikvision viewing at home?

I think I’m going to go with this tablet. I take it that this will work well with what I’m looking for. Xiaomi Redmi Pad - 4+128GB - Graphite Gray -X https://amzn.eu/d/9s0BbGi

Tablet for Hikvision viewing at home?

Ok cool, I’ll check those Lenovo tablets out. Which is the better of those 2, m10 rd gen or m8 4th gen? I’d probably just go for the better / newer / higher spec one. I take it that they’re not too power hungry as well, although I’d probably turn them off overnight and just rely on phone.

Tablet for Hikvision viewing at home?

I just need it for a 4 camera system or potentially 5. I guess I can split screen to just 4 cameras even if I have 5 cameras, with obviously 1 camera not showing on the screen.

Tablet for Hikvision viewing at home?

Very useful and makes total sense! So I’m assuming the tablet is not connected to the nvr by wire. The nvr I am told will be kept in the loft, with the screen in the main living room. Also, any particular tablets u recommend or will anything work? I’m thinking either an iPad or something as...

Tablet for Hikvision viewing at home?

Ok thank you. I will try this once I get it installed this week and let you know if it worked for me. Does it eat a lot of data given that it’s connected via the app at all times instead of it being hard wired through a monitor, which wouldn’t require any data?

Tablet for Hikvision viewing at home?

Ive been advised that iPad won’t work as the Hikvision app times out after 60 seconds. So need a monitor with a hdmi input so it gives a live hard wired feed.

IP or Analog for a home CCTV system?

Thank you for a fantastic reply, very useful. My requirement is fairly basic - I require 4 cameras, 4k quality, with motion detection. For analog I’ve been quoted around 950ish and for IP around 1350, similar quotes for both HIk and Dahua. One installer said not much difference between analog...

Tablet for Hikvision viewing at home?

If using an iPad or Amazon fire, does it always remain on providing I set the settings accordingly? Or does it have to b hard wired into the device?

Which tablet for cctv always on display?

Thank you, but does it always remain on? I was advised that the only way it stays on is if you hard wire it and don’t use the app as such.

IP or Analog for a home CCTV system?

IP or Analog for a home CCTV system? I am looking for a 4 camera system, 4k. Price difference is around £500 between the two. Is analog now a dated technology? I am getting mixed responses from installers. Some are saying all I need is analog as they are more suited to home use, and that IP is...

Which tablet for cctv always on display?

I am a newbie and looking to get a home IP CCTV system installed soon. I would like an always on display monitor placed on the sideboard in living room. I have been advised by an installer that any screen with a HDMI port will work, so this could be a small tv monitor or PC monitor etc. I am...
