    Loss of video in iVMS-4200

I have been working with Malwarebytes over the last week or so and have been sending logs to them for analysis. My last mail from them read: 'Thank you for sending the file, it came through no problem. Our engineers are currently inspecting the cause of the false-detection and will work to have...

Hikvision iVMS-4200 - no live view [Malwarebytes]

Thanks Sawdusty, I did try that initially as I always try to get to the lowest level, but it had no effect. I didn't perform a restart though, so I may give that a go later. In reality it is only Malwarebytes that should need restarting as it then reads in the new parms. My focus now is with...

Hikvision iVMS-4200 - no live view [Malwarebytes]

I had the same problem with Malwarebytes. I have been able to add the folder 'C:\Program Files (x86)\iVMS-4200 Site\iVMS-4200 Client\Client' to the 'Allow List' and so far everything still works. Have you tried that?

    Loss of video in iVMS-4200

Thanks Dan - you (your link) nailed it. Malwarebytes is/was the culprit. My Laptop doesn't have Malwarebytes, so no problem there. I just quit the Malwarebytes app and then ran iVMS and all popped up. It must be a recent update as I've had Malwarebytes for some years and it has not caused a...

    Loss of video in iVMS-4200

Hi Phil, That has been my main source of investigation. I have Kaspersky and Malwarebytes and they occasionally update the .exe and databases, but I don't think my problem would have anything to do with them. I have just installed the iVMS4200 on my laptop also running Win10 64 Prof (I stuck...

    Loss of video in iVMS-4200

Thanks for the input KyleMc, but the issue only presented itself recently. The previous version (2.5.1.7) was running fine for nearly 5 years and then one day - no images via iVMS-4200 . The strange thing is that I can see the images going via Internet Explorer, via an Android app on my tablet...

    Loss of video in iVMS-4200

I've been running with iVMS-4200 for some years without issues. I recently fired up the app and no images appeared in either Main View or Remote Playback. I spent some hours trying to find what had changed, but I could not resolve it. I decided to uninstall all and reinstalled the latest version...

    Intrusion configuration

Can anyone clarify something for me? I have set up an intrusion area and understand most of the parameter adjustments - bar one. The percentage element appears to have a confusing description and reads: ‘Percentage defines the ratio of the in-region part of the object which can trigger the...

    Adding New User Issues

babiskarg: I'm obliged for the info about the new firmware, but I can only see 3.4.90 build 161008 on the Hikvision site. I have upgraded to that, but it is minor revision and nothing is said in the upgrade notes about user permissions. True to expectations, nothing had changed and I can still...

    Adding New User Issues

My network is running via the house power cable infrastructure using Devolo adaptors, and I'm getting 169Mbps - so no WiFi. I'm fairly sure that I'm on the latest revision of the firmware : V3.4.2 build 160201. (Anyone tell me otherwise?) This is definitely an issue with the management...

    Adding New User Issues

Kieran: Options available are Administrator, Operator or Guest. I've tried both Operator and Guest with permision for only Live View, but they can still do things like change the IP.

    Adding New User Issues

UPDATE This is very strange. I logged on directly to the NVR which is connected to the TV screen . On getting into the user area there was no third user named ella showing - but it still shows via the iVMS-4200 app. I added the new user and restricted the permissions to just Live View - while...

    Adding New User Issues

I have two users, 1 Super and 1 guest (Operator) - Both work fine over the internet (WAN). I just added a third (Operator), restricting this user to Live View only on all cameras (Profile Identical to guest). Issue 1. When I try to logon with this new user 'ella' the login is rejected with...

How to show a custom view as startup default

Using iMVS-4200. A rather basic question, but I can't see anything in the forum or the Hikvision Help. How do you configure the client iMVS-4200 to start with the custom view that I've created? Currently it comes up with the standard 4 image view and I have to manually select my custom view (6...

    Substream settings not saved

I am using iMVS-4200 latest version and have a problem when viewing the cameras in daytime. If I use the standard 6 view (1 main and 5 mini images), the main image often will not appear, or if it does the image is frozen at a point in time. All cameras are being monitored using Mainstream and I...
