So, not fixed then. That's a shame because I was hoping that V5 would fix 3rd-party RTSP/Onvif streams not working for me on V4.63.020, but it looks as though I should stick with V4 since at least the basics work on that!
Edit: actually I found I had a copy of V4.63.025 and that fixed RTSP, so...
Unlike Hikvision, UniFi protect adds new features (that actually work!) to their Protect platform on a seemingly monthly basis. It’s a shame their platform is so closed (no 3rd party camera support at all) and the Pro cameras are so expensive. There’s no doubt in my mind also that the picture...
At the bottom of the product page for my DS-7608NI-M2/8P on hikvision.com:
Firmware_V5.02.000_240229
" For better user experience, we highly recommend you to update your device to the latest firmware asap."
Bit of a joke really.
Is it ok to install the versions of firmware from that link on our UK devices? For example, the international Hikvison website lists version
Firmware_V4.63.025_231201 for a DS-7608NI-M2/8P, whereas the Hikvision UK Portal still only has NVR_K21B1_BL_ML_STD_V4.61.420_230217.zip which is what...
Click on "Device Management", then click the little Gear Cog that should be present under "Operation".
From there you should be able to change the time settings thus:
Also, post a screenshot here of your "Device Management" page.
Could you post a screenshot of how the cameras show up in iVMS?
Either that, or a screenshot of what SADP tool shows (as linked in another reply).
One you can establish the address on your home network of the Network Video Recorder (NVR - that’s the black box you have hidden away in the house...
A little alarmed to see that on the Hikvision UK site the still quite new 4K AcuSense G2 cams are marked as end-of-life. What's going on there?!

Well, looks like this may be the issue address with V4.40.017 build 201124:
"Fix the problem of abnormal NVR system time caused by changing the NVR time zone and then turning on NTP timing function."
Will test and report back.
EDIT: It did indeed fix the issue for me. I have now re-enabled...
I wish Hikvision would consolidate these models and simply put the ColorVu sensor in the AccuSense G2 (with SL) turret. I would happily pay a premium for that.
I’ve never successfully got alerts to work for anything using iVMS 4200. Instead, use the Hik Connect app and register the doorbell with the HiK Connect service.
This will allow push notifications when someone rings the doorbell. Sadly, it won’t store events though, like is does with motion...
I'm confused by this 8 MP G2 ColorVu offering. Searching for 87G2 on your website doesn't show up any results, yet there is a page for at least the longer bullet version: Hikvision DS-2CD2T87G2-L 8MP ColorVu Bullet Network Camera ¦ use-IP Ltd (use-ip.co.uk)
If you Google though for it...
Ok, well, yes, Using the newest version I could find under 30 MB did indeed work via the TFTP tool, so now I have NVR_Hi3536_BL_EN_STD_V3.3.9_151228 on there. The problem...
...now not a single firmware will upload via the web interface!
Is it possible to update via USB?!
UPDATE!!!: I've...
You mean like a really old V3 firmware? How small does it need to be?
Also, if I did go back to say V3.3.4 (NVR_Hi3536_BL_EN_STD_V3.3.4_150715.zip - 23.52MB), would I be able to upgrade directly back to a recent V4 firmware using the web interface, or would I need to go via an intermediate...
I appear to be stuck with this broken firmware now, as I can neither upgrade to NVR_K51_BL_ML_STD_V4.40.016_200803 nor downgrade (I've tried NVR_K51_BL_ML_STD_V4.22.005_200327).
Via the (otherwise working) web interface I get to about 33% and then get "Upgrading failed" every time, and trying...
