Hello, you may of seen my other post of software update on my dads system that basically put it on life support.

So…

Bought a cheep used 7608NI-I4 8P to replace it from ebay, arrived, seller clearly an idiot and a lot more to that story, locked and no password, did the reset request with HIK partner pro, got it sorted in 10 minutes, anyway then found blinded to another Hik-Connect account. So no unbind in the GUI was on 2018 software, updated in the stages as recommended in other posts on here, by 2019 I think it had unbinded on the GUI interface but said ‘timed out’, tried on SADP and just said “failed’ kept going through all software revisions right up to the latest trying each time and always got the same message, contacted HIK HELP, told me go jump as I bought it off ebay.

Any ideas or shall I just give it them back?

The only thing I recall is that you need to be on the LAN locally when doing it in SADP and more importantly Hik-Connect must be turned OFF in Platform Access while you do it, otherwise it fails.

JB was so excited to see your message with more options. Too late to try last night when I saw it. Anyway couldn’t sleep so wasted a few hours this morning.

Annoyingly the fault I get now is device offline on both SADP and hikconnect.

Think I’m done for with this one, and the one I did a software update on for him.

Thanks for trying however, it is appreciated.

I've only needed to do a Hik-Connect unbind once or twice so I'm no expert on the process unfortunately. I'm assuming you've tried following the guide by @Dan in his sticky post here:

How-to: - How to Unbind a Hikvision Device using SADP on a PC

I hadn’t but I’d already made sure they were set, after your message i was inspired to have another go, including deleting them, different options, setting it to DHCP all to no avail.

Thanks again though for taking the time to give support.
