CCTV - Six Cameras Simultaneously Develop Bad Picture

I have a Swann CCTV system (not WiFi) with 6 cameras all around the house.

Suddenly, tonight in the infrared, they all suddenlly developed a funny picture.
They all have a line(s) across them that goes up and down, a bit like old VHS video tracking.
The picture of all of them have become grainy.
Sometimes the alert signal and alarm comes on, which is normally associated with a loss of picture.

I have rebooted.
I have formatted the drive.
I have switched on and off.
Unplugged each individual camera.

I have had the system about 2 years with no problems.

Did the fault remain after they switched back to day time colour images?
Is this system built with co-ax or network cameras please?
