Hello everyone, My NVR DS-7608NI-I2 / 8P has the default Internal network card IPv4 address 192.168.2.100
I am thinking of changing the subnet from 2 to 0.
What will happen if I change it to 192.168.0.100 save, and reboot? Will all 8 Hikvision cameras reboot and get a new IP with subnet 0?
I am just concern I am going to break things. Thank you.

I suspect your system will stop working, why do you want to change the subnet?

Are your cameras connected direct to the ports at the rear of the NVR?

Thank you David. Yes all connected directly at the rear of the NVR. i know I can go to camera management, IP camera and get to it with the link using port 6500X but i was thinking: if I assign static IP to each camera like 192.168.0.51, 52, 53 etc. Then go to the NVR and change each channel D1 to D8 from plug and play to manual, enter the IP address, should work. Then I should be able to configure an external app to reach the camera directly since the cams are on the same network, same subnet. Hope that is clear. Thank you.

I think cameras connected to the rear NVR ports use an isolated LAN, that's why you have to enable the NVR virtual host and access those cameras via port 6500x. Make sure you are not mixing up the NVRs own LAN subnet for rear port cameras and the WAN / LAN port connected to your router.

Thank you David excellent point. Ok another idea! My network is with an UBUQUITI POE 24 ports. So If I plug in a hikvision to my switch with an IP like 192.168.0.51, my other apps and devices can access it on my home network. Then I go to a channel on the NVR, and do a manual add with the IP address.
That should work right? Than you for all you prompt response and help. Very appreciated

That is how I connect my cameras, they are all on my router subnet. If it helps I use the same NVR as you.
