Not important questions, but I like to understand all possibilites.

1) The light bulb i the PTZ menu can be set on/off (blinking), but does it work?
2) Does Auxilary Focus work on this camera (The lensinitiazation do).
3) At the bottom - (+) Start Digital Zoom can be turned on (red) and off, but nothing seems to happen.
Up right on the screen - magnifying glass +/- can zoom. Has Start Digital Zoom something to do with it?

Hi @llars

The Live View menu layout is the same for most Hikvision cameras and so some of these settings will work for your camera and others won't. I will explain the settings you have listed above in relation to your camera:

1) The light bulb icon is for turning on/off white light, but your model only supports IR light that cannot be controlled by this button.
2) Auxilary Focus recalibrates the camera's focus if it is not focusing correctly, if this isn't doing anything it means the camera is correctly focused (also with a motorised VF camera the focus will auto adjust when you zoom the camera).
3) With the digital zoom option you need to actually drag & drop the area on the live view that you want to zoom in on, full explanation of how to do that is explained below:

Digital Zoom:​

1. Click Start Digital Zoom button to enable the function.
2. Click the mouse on the chosen PTZ view and drag it to a lower right position. The area in the red rectangle will be zoomed in after you loose the mouse.
3. Click the mouse on the zoomed-in PTZ view, drag it to a higher left position and loosen the mouse to zoom out.
4. Click Disable Stop Digital Zoom button to stop the function.

Finally, the -/+ zoom buttons at the top right of the live view are the controls for the camera's optical zoom, your model has a 2.8-12mm focal range/optical zoom and these controls let you change the focal length. We would recommend using this over digital zoom because the optical zoom maintains the same resolution whether you are fully zoomed in or out, whereas digital zoom just blows up the pixels that make up the image so the more you digitally zoom the more pixelated the image becomes.
