Hi

I have a complicated question and i hope someone can help me, because i have tried everything but cannot seem to get this right.

My DVR (analog) does not even pickup my Ezviz CB8 ptz wifi camera so i can add it. But my DVR picks up my two Tenda wifi cameras. But even these two Tenda cameras i cannot add to the DVR. I have tried everything but to no avail.

Due to the WiFi AP Pairing method that the Ezviz camera uses, I don't think it will be possible to directly connect it to the DVR and it will only support being paired to the Eziviz mobile app.

What models are the Tenda WiFi cameras you have?

Ag no.. really... The Tenda cameras are the CP7 and CP3 models.

And what is the full model number of your DVR? Is it DS-7108HGHI-K1, DS-7108HGHI-F1, or another model?

Do you have any other IP network cameras (WiFi or hard-wired) currently added to this DVR?

The specs of your DVR say that it can support up to 2 x IP cameras at a max. resolution of 5MP, so it should support these two Tenda cameras.

You say it does detect these Tenda cameras but you can't add them? Exactly where is it that you run into problems when trying to add the cameras? (please share some screenshots with us of what you are seeing)

Ok... i add it to my dvr, but status shows red the whole time. Even entering the passwords does not help. I dont know what password must be entered.

To manually add the cameras to the DVR you will need to know the camera's password, having a dig around the Tenda website I can't see any mention of a default password for these cameras.

If there is no default password that would usually mean you have to set your own password, but I can't see any instructions for doing this on the Tenda website. This might suggest that these Tenda models also can only be added directly to the Tenda mobile app and not the DVR.

You will need to speak to Tenda technical support and see if they can guide you on how to discover/set passwords for the cameras.
