I have a CCTV system bought four years ago. Today the Dahua model HCVR5108C-V2 has gone off . All I now get is a bleeping sound and blue flashing light from the box.
Is it knackered or repairable.

Sorry, we have very limited experience with Dahua.
A Hikvision recorder will often bleep to complain of a hard drive issue.
Can you still login and check its HDD status, and logs etc?

No it wont let me access the menu

I guess you have tried cycling the power?

You could try replacing the HDD if you have a spare available.
Apart from that, it is probably beyond economical repair.

Tried on/ off many times no change.
Now looking to replace DVR with one of the Swann make.
Will my four existing cameras be compatible?

It's best to check with the supplier that you are about to purchase from (we don't supply Dahua nor Swann).

I think it may just be a faulty hard drive. You can check it in the menus. If it is the hard drive shows as being faulty you can try formatting and if this doesn’t work you will need to replace the hard drive.
