I recently replaced my NVR to a DS-7716NI-E4 / 16P (yes I know that's old too) and connected my 8 cameras directly to the NVR.
At the same time I upgraded a few cameras.
When I access the cameras via Ipad using the Hik-Connect software, the alerts show nicely but playing back video is hit and miss. I get "Device Decoding TImed Out"
This is on the cameras that I have not replaced.
Live view works fine
From reading it appears that I might need to reduce the Max BitRate, but when I do that, the image deteriorates.
Help and guidance appreciated.
