Hi all, trying to setup new door-station kv6113 doorbell only. Plugged into NVR but it isn’t recognised.

Says ip camera does not exist.

Can anyone help?

The ip address does not load to activate device

Thank you

Hi @Rich - the intercom kit cannot be connected directly to an NVR as they need an internet connection to work and need to be added to Hik-Connect directly (you cannot answer calls via the NVR).

So, you will need to either use a POE injector or switch to connect it to your LAN (your router), or connect it to the network via WiFi and power it separately via it's 12V DC input.

Once on the LAN, you'll need to use Hikvision's SADP tool on a PC to activate the doorbell and give it an IP address on the router's range.
The simplest thing to do it to enable DHCP on the doorbell in SADP once you've activated it, which will auto-assign a valid IP address.
You can then use that IP address to log into the camera via a web...

You can then use that IP address to log into the camera via a web browser, or add it to the iVMS-4200 software and access the settings that way.
When in the settings, you will need to follow these steps to enable Hik-Connect and add it to your account.
Then, follow these steps to add it to your NVR manually across the network via the doorbells IP address.

One thing to note is that the NVR will treat the doorbell as a regular camera, so you will only be able to use it to view or record footage, and set up motion detection.

Thank you for the quick and detailed response Kyle. I will try a switch and connect the door station that way. I’ll let you know how I get on. Appreciate it.

An active PoE injector will be best (most should be active anyway).
Anything that can supply 802.3af PoE will work as that's the standard that the DS-KV6113-WPE1 uses :)
