Hikvision or other PTZ Options?

I'm looking to get a sensibly priced PTZ camera to replace an ancient Fixed position Foscam camera to cover our garden so we can keep an eye on the dog. I have a Hikvision NVR and Hikvision cameras so my preference is towards them but are there any decent PTZs out there, with decent IR coverage or night vision that have zoom and PTZ too, with POE?

The one I'm looking at currently is the DS-2DE3A400BW-DE(F1) but that has no IR only white light, which I'm not sure about given my other cameras all have IR but is under £200.

Budget would be up to £350-£400 for a perfect camera but I'm not sure what to look for, any suggestions?

First of all, the A400BW-DE(F1) model you've been looking at is not a PTZ model. You see on the product page that it is actually described as a PT camera which means it has a motorised pan & tilt, but no optical zoom as it uses a 4mm fixed lens.

If you are looking for a smaller PTZ to install at home we would recommend the DS-2DE2A404IW-DE3(S6) 2-Inch 4MP Mini PT Dome Camera, this model has a 20m IR range and a 2.8-12mm focal range.

This model is also classed as a PT model but this is because the focal range only translates as a 4x optical zoom, which is too short to be classified as a full PTZ.

Alternatively, if you want more IR range (50m) and a longer zoom (25x optical zoom) we would recommend the DS-2DE4A425IWG-E 4-Inch 4MP 25x IR Network Speed Dome

Thanks Dan, really helpful. I would love the 2nd one but sadly can't justify increasing the budget despite the 50m IR being more suitable given the garden is about 40m long. Will investigate the first one and see if that stacks up for us. Thanks again.
