Hikvision System - Recorder and Notifications

Hello,
I'm having a problem that not even Hikvision can respond to my needs (I'm tired of sending emails) to check the possibilities... I've already tried... i'm crazyy???!! LOL

I have a client who wants to do these processes in the mobile application (iPhone - Hik-connect-end-user):
- Individually turn off notifications for a channel on the recorder, but keep the normal recording function (events)
- Turn off/stop a camera (for example, for privacy, the one at the pool)

How can we do this in the APP?

If I use the "disarm" mode, I don't receive notifications and it also turns off all recordings
If I use the "arm" mode, it activates notifications and recordings


Are you considering changing everything, since the older system had or tested (REOLINK) allows you to do this?! How annoying that in a system like this, professional people can't manage some easy think like this..

Very easily for the first item. Relatively easily for the second.

Individually turn off notifications for a channel. In the app:
  1. Click 'Notifications'
  2. Select a notification from the camera to display the preview image
  3. Click the little bell icon on the top line
  4. Click block
  5. You've now blocked notifications for that specific channel and event type. To turn back on Me > Settings > Notification Settings > Device Notification Settings > Select the site > Blocked Events > Select the blocked event and OK to unblock.
Turn off a camera. That can't be done from the app. I'd just:
  1. Disconnect the LAN cable from the recorder and reroute it through a 4 port switch
  2. Disconnect the pool camera from the NVR and plug it into a PoE adaptor
  3. Reprogram the camera with an IP address on the LAN and edit the NVR channel from plug and play to manual specifying the new LAN side address.
  4. Connect the LAN output from the PoE adaptor into the 4 port switch
  5. Power the PoE adaptor via a smart plug (Zigbee, Z Wave, Hue, Matter, WiFi whatever)
  6. The camera can now be enabled and disabled by powering up/down the outlet using the respective app (Apple Home, Google, Hue whatever)

I suppose you could replace the system but what I've suggested above could be set up in less than 30 minutes for a cost of around £25 - £30, euro, USD (20 for a smart plug and under 10 for a 5 port switch).

I've been to the client and tried to follow some recommendations...
While when I turn off this specific camera, obviously the question arises "what if I want individual on the others", we return to the same problem... but yes it is an idea that is winning and a solution for what is intended!

However, in the notifications, when I enter the NVR it does not let me see them individually, it only has options for the set and not individually for each channel... Same place, I tried to check the APP in "end-user" mode and without success... could it have to do with some update or type of firmware on the recorder???

(everything is updated to the latest versions)

You answered yourself. Some brands will do commodity, some will do security, and comodity in security costs. Its funny , but its true.

Every brand stand out in something that other lack.

Also some brands do not add stuff on purpose as they sell other devices for that needs.
