So iv had to replace 2 Hikvision cams with Hilook cams. iv been talking to the seller and i got some info but i don't 100% understand.
basically i just want to be able to view my cctv on a 4way split screen 24/7 at the best quality as possible. As when i had 2 running everything is fine on screen and in the app.
Im looking to get these 5mp Hilook and add a 2 extra 8MP cameras 8mp hilooks.
im sure there all compatible but am i bottlenecking the 8MP cameras ? and will i be able to stream all 4 on 1 screen at the same time ?
I don't see why i wouldn't but im being told different elsewhere

Hi Dan, thanks from the reply. im not sure if the links above works, but its the first link i was thinking on getting mainly for the front drive way (its a little longer then wider)

NVR-104MH-C/4P (D) [3759-HE]

I dont know if the bit in [ ] is relevant.
This kit has the same NVR but i was recommend these over the the grey bullet type.. recommended choice , even tho id love to try both out.
Cheers

Thanks @PickaBoo

The NVR spec that has the biggest impact on the number of cameras you can view at the same time is Decoding Capability, your current NVR has the following Decoding specs - 1-ch@8 MP (30 fps)/3-ch@4 MP (30 fps)/6-ch@1080p (30 fps)

What this means is if you had 4 cameras set to record at 8MP you would only be able to view one camera at a time, but if you reduced the resolution to 4MP you could view 3 cameras at the same time.

Looking at the specs for all the available HiLook models we are aware of, we cannot see any that will support being able to simultaneously view more than 2 x 5MP or more than 1 x 8MP camera. The reason for this is that the HiLook range is entry-level and the hardware specs are very basic when compared to Hikvision's core professional products.

We would recommend a Hikvision DS-7604NXI-K1/4P(D) 4-ch NVR and 4 x DS-2CD2347G2H-LIU 4MP Smart Hybrid Light Turrets because this NVR will support simultaneous viewing of 4 x 4MP cameras.

Ok this makes sence to me now, i never knew this would be a thing.
What happened was i have 2 Hikvison cams now with BNC connection and i bought 2 Hilook 8mp POE but the connection was wrong (my mistake)
but now i want to keep the 8mp Hilook POE + add 2 and give the other 2 Hikvisons 4MP away
so if i can find the Hikvision NVR u recommended with 2 cams as a kit i think i should be good to go, Trying not to spend too much more money is tricky lol
Cheers again

Hikvision NVR 4ch With POE DS-7604NI-K1/4P (B)

very similar to the one u posted, is there any much of a difference in this one. im happy with 4ch viewing @1080p or 1 @8mp if its a cheaper option

Yes, you can use the 7604NI-K1/4P(B) model if you are happy with the decoding specs, but be aware that this model is now EOL so won't receive any future firmware updates and might not fully support some of the smart features of the AcuSense/ColorVu/Hybrid Light cameras.

ok Iv just looked up the one u recomended on the site i buy from and the specs say on 2ch@ 8mp?!!?
but on your link it says 4ch@8mp. am i reading this wrong
Cheers

Either way this will end up being around 600 for me AND i dont exactly have a 4K viewing monitor, its 1080P.
So with that being said i think this one is my best budget options

HiLook by Hikvision NVR 4ch 8MP POE NVR-104MH-C/4P (D)

and il atleast be able to view 4 cctv @1080p on one screen with this one or no ?
Cheers for your help Dan!

The model your seller has is the older non-(D) model, the model we linked you to is the (D) which has replaced the previous generation model.
