Hi guys after many years of using the same router I changed over the other day to a new BT smart hub 2 . Now my NVR is hard wired into my router so thats no problem my phone can log into the new router since I changed over the password so thats ok .

My problem is the Hikvision ap on the phone wont log in , I fully understand I need to change the password on the ap so I can log into the new router . My Version is V6.0102.1020 .
So I click on Me you have settings , reset password , Device WiFi Configuration , I have tried Device WiFi configuration and then go to the next page
Select Network Configuration Mode

At this point I am lost ?
Do I scan the QR code what QR code ? is this the one on the NVR ?

Or

Generate Wifi QR code and scan by device again I have no idea . When I set this up in 2016 I dont think we used QR codes you just put down your password of your router and connected .

Can some talk me through how to connect my Hikvision app on my phone to WiFi because I am out of my depth with QR codes .

Many Thanks

You should not need to change your Hikvision app password on your phone as that password/account is linked to your Hikvision account not the router.
A new router simply affects the WIFI network name/password that your phone connects to. So if your phone is connected to your WIFI ok then you should be able to login in with your existing Hikvision account/password etc.

Many thanks for the reply its all up and working again I found a video on YouTube that gave me instructions on how to re config the NVR with the new router so all is working again now . The video on YouTube was this one :-
