Hi, i own 2 Hik ipcams (iDS-2CD7A26G0/P-IZHSY) of which one was new and the other is slightly older (used) but working perfectly ok aside from this issue. The newer cam is fine accepting it's update to V5.8.60 but the 2nd older cam i have been struggling with for months to accept a new update but repeatedly get the same error message: Upgrade stopped, please check the network connection and try again.
To test if there was any network issue or any other problem with the file i took the same firmware version from both Global and EU respositeries but always get the same error message. My next check was testing if the cam would even accept an overwrite of it's existing older firmware and it did so without any issues at all. So I'm still locked out of upgrading the cam to newer firmware it seems and it lagging behind. I don't know another way of trying to get the cam to accept the newer firmware and wondered if this scenario is familiar to anyone here?
The cam with this issue performs fine function wise with no other evidence of software/hardware issues other than this firmware rebuttal. I've tried a hard reset with the small button which reset the cam did not fixe the issue. As stated it goes through the process of overwriting it's old firmware properly and incrementally with all the usual prompts etc but I just get the same error message (bold above) if the newer updated firmware is attempted to be loaded, either in it's zip folder or moved out of it's folder, it just won't accept it ? :-(
I'm really hoping for a way through with this if anyone can help please?
thanks.
