Import Config file from Windows to iVMS Mac

I am part of a group monitoring a number of wildlife cameras. Currently we access either through browsers or iVMS-4200. I thought I'd try out iVMS for Mac as Hikvision cameras seem incompatible with Mac browsers.

Have installed 4200-Mac fine. I exported a configuration file from my Windows program and tried to import it into the Mac, but it fails!

Should it be possible?

To confirm, are you trying to export the config file for the Windows version of iVMS-4200 itself, as opposed to a camera's config file?

If so, I think it's unlikely that it will work, as the two versions are so different (the macOS version's interface is much older and probably has fewer settings than the Windows version).

I think you're right! I read elsewhere, here, that supposedly they're bringing out a new Mac version in Q1 of this year, so will hold off further attempts till then.

Hopefully, you're right, it's long overdue!
For what it's worth, Security Spy is often spoken of as a good alternative for Mac to iVMS-4200, but you need to pay for it:

Unfortunately not an option to switch the whole group of operators over to that, but thanks for the suggestion.
