Hi all. I live at the end of a cul-de-sac which terminates with a green square which leads on foot to another cul-de-sac. As well as covering the front of my home (garden and driveway) I want a camera at the side of my home which would capture the entrance of my garage, but would also capture anyone approaching from the green square as it gets a lot of foot traffic and has been a hotspot for issues in the past. I'd like decent IR and colour night vision if possible so was wondering if the DS-7604NI-K1-4P or DS-7604NXI-K1/4P would do the job alongside two DS-2CD2347G2H-LIU camera's? If so I'd like the 4mm lens for the front for a better honed-in picture and the 2.8mm for the wider overview picture capturing the approach over the green square. Does that all seem OK?
Is this Camera and NVR choice ok?

From the small amount of information you've provided, the DS-7604NXI-K1/4P(D) and 2 x DS-2CD2347G2H-LIU will probably give you the coverage you require.
To be more definite, we would need measurements of the distances you want to cover, images showing the scene you want to cover, and images of the camera mounting positions.

Hi Dan, thank you for your quick response, much appreciated. I'm planning on putting the camera's onto the corner of my home about 3m high. From the front to the end of my driveway is about 10m, and from the side of my home to the beginning of the green is approx. 20m. I'm not at home at the minute or I'd take a photo and upload it for you. Thank you.

What I can also mention is that at least the non POE (A) models of 76xxNXI-K2 series, are not fully compatible with ColorVU G5 cameras, same one as the one you want, when having firmware v5.7.17 or v5.7.18.
Display Info on Stream Dual VCA is not saving on the rear end device (NXI-K), the "etc" or "Other" targets. Only saving Humans and Vehicles.
So this NXI-K with firmwares 5.7.17 and v5.7.18 and Intelligent Search capability, is perfect for a Store or a restaurant, but not for a home, a garden or a yard.
When might we see Darkfighter 2.0 cameras and AcuSearch NVRs in UK stock?
I had a watch through the Darkfighter 2.0 launch the other day - when might UK stocks come through? It'll be good to see some actual footage to see if it's as good as they claim. Am I right in thinking that these will be the mid to upper range of cameras once launched? So not at the budget end...
