Hi,

I've setup iVMS-4200 on my MacBook but live view and playback is very laggy
Hikconnect works fine on my phone, any ideas?

What version of iVMS-4200 have you installed on your Mac please?
What OS version is your MacBook running?

Hi @BIGBOSS78659

How did you add the devices to iVMS-4200?

Are you on the same local network as the devices you've added to iVMS-4200?

Hi,

My laptop is connected to the network, I added the NVR and imported the cameras from the group, I even added the camera directly using IP but it was still slow and laggy. Restarted my laptop and tried again - same issue.

Do the cameras lag if you use a web browser to connect to the NVR's IP address or on the NVR directly?
Are the cameras connected to the NVR via its POE ports?
What model are the NVR and cameras please, and which firmware is installed on them?

Hi, cameras seem to be fine on web browser and NVR itself. Hikconnect also works fine.
I've got 4 cameras - 2 x directly connected / 2 x remotely to a separate switch.

NVR: DS-7608NXI-I2/8P/S
Version: V4.62.210 build 230619

Camera: DS-2CD2387G2H-LISU/SL
Version: V5.7.14_231028

That is strange - it sounds like the problem is probably linked to that macOS version of iVMS-4200 rather than the NVR or cameras.
Does it freeze even if you try to view just one camera in full screen?
Is there any improvement if you try this older version?
