Problems adding my DS-2CD2345FWD-I camera to www.hik-connect.com

I've got a DS-2CD2345FFWD-I and everything is fine - connected to to my synology NAS, the HI-Connect app on my phone works fine, all good. But, then I try to add the device to my hik-connect.com account, I get "operation failed. The device is added by other users". Kind of worrying - does this mean somebody else can view my camera images? And how to I get this resolved so I can add my camera to my account. Any ideas?

Did you purchase it brand new, from a reputable reseller?
If so, then the most likely scenario is that you have already managed to create an account and add it.
Either way, if you cannot access it at the Hik-Connect account that you are using, then it will need to be removed from all other accounts and added afresh to yours.
And I can't think of the word they use to unlink, decouple!

Yes, I purchased it new from Use-IP. If I can find out how to unlink/decouple, then I might be able to add it. Thanks for replying Phil.

It is "unbind" - sorry.
You should see a checkbox to unbind the camera when you select it in SADP.

You can unbind device using your hik-connect account on mobile phone.

You need to be on the same network as your NVR/DVR, manual add trough device SN and click " Unbind device". You just need to know user and pass.

SADP tool doesn't work all the time.
