I am an end user for starters.
I have rebranded HV analog color night vision cams they might be called Colorvu?

My installer is really sick so I am trying to fix this on my own. My installer stopped installing IP cams because of all the network callback issues.

He also told me his fellow installers eventually started doing this as well.

I am very happy with the system except for one thing.
This has been working great not one issue for 3 years.
About 2-3 weeks ago I started getting the 5 minute auto logout.

I am using Edge in I.E. explorer mode. I tried to find the model of NVR but I don't see it in the NVR config software. I assume it's also a rebranded HV because all the software is HV.

I did a lot of research and downloaded an older version of IVMS 4200 that wasn't supposed to time out using auto switch but it does.

It looks like all the cable drops go into a box first. From that box they go into the NVR. The box is also powered. I assume this box powers the cams?
Maybe a POE box?
I read in other forums there was a an auto logout setting. My NVR does not have that.
Did I mention this is driving me nuts?

Money is not an issue. If I have to buy a new NVR just give me a model I am using 7 cams.

The Hik-connect IOS app works perfectly it's just the PC that's the issue.

Also any idea what happened?
Why all of a sudden this became an issue after 3 years?
Maybe a firmware update?

Any help would be appreciated.

It's a rebranded Hikvision from an installer supply house. I forgot the rebadged name. I finally fixed it. I did a factory reset and put back all my info and it has been working great since. Not sure if I mentioned it but the alarm also started going off constantly when it never did before. I thought it was the HDD but it turns out the alarm for camera movement was triggered. I never changed that setting so that is also a mystery. I figured out what it was by going through the log. I turned all the camera alarms off and back to working as it should.

I have a portable HDMI monitor that I hooked up to it to get the barcode for the IOS app. For some reason I couldn't get a pic but it works fine on a TV in another room. I ended up having my wife facetime me so I could see the TV and work the mouse where the NVR is. Unreal!!!! I need to get a CCTV tester in case this happens again. Any recommendations would be great. I don't need anything expensive as this might be a 1 and done. I think I want to upgrade the DVR though to something better.
