What do i need?

Good morning all.
I want to buy a ptz camera. Its for my back garden, and not strictly for security. Its more for watching and recording the wildlife i'm lucky enought to have that visit the garden. So do i need an NVR or can i put it through my pc. Id like to record things like the woodpecker on the nuts, the pheasant , the fox moochin round the garden etc. Please help.
