Door Entry KV6113-WPE1(C) - New Firmware [3.7.0_250317] - (pulled - no longer available)

Yes. You just downgrade in the same you upgrade. I will say that I've had issues upgrading the firmware via the web interface a couple of times and had to resort to using iVMS-4200 to do the update but YMMV. Regardless you would want to download and save a copy of your current firmware build...

Door Entry KV6113-WPE1(C) - New Firmware [3.7.0_250317] - (pulled - no longer available)

I guess you'll have to try it out for yourself. You can always downgrade if it's not for you. I believe the 6113 has been superseded with a newer model so I'd expect it to 'end of life' and only receive firmware updates for security fixes.

    Best Indoor WiFi Camera?

I wonder if it’s model dependent or perhaps something got addded in one of the many Hik-Connect updates. I have a spare one unopened I’ll check it later…

    Best Indoor WiFi Camera?

I’ve not tried it myself but I’m sure someone mentioned that the EZVIZ app is needed to set the WiFi up on an EZVIZ camera. Although the process is similar Hik-Connect wouldn’t recognise the EZVIZ camera for WiFi setup purposes. I’m not sure if that’s the case.

Leaving house - reset factory settings for handover?

That’s fine. You can still delete the site (unbind) from your account exactly as I described above. The system doesn’t need to be online when you do it (your phone just needs to have an internet connection) You can also change your admin password without being connected. If you get a message...

    PTRZ and ColorVue 3.0/Audio 2.0

Audio 2.0 is fine, the issue is that with the noise filter turned on in the camera it's completely garbled. This isn't an issue on any of the previous models without Audio 2.0. I've tried the cameras with the noise filter turned on and gone through the various available codecs but the issue...

    Hikconnect issues / VCAs

I don't know - there's no detail about that in the release notes for 4.84.100 which is the latest version.

    Hikconnect issues / VCAs

That's fine. Max as full screen is normal.

    PTRZ and ColorVue 3.0/Audio 2.0

I wouldn't think so. I expect ColorVu 3.0 is only available on the G3 models. For me Audio 2.0 is not all as it has been hyped. With Environmental Noise Filter on the sound is electronic garble and a downgrade to the previous model.

    Hikconnect issues / VCAs

I'd always advise setting up intrusion/line crossing initially without min/max boxes to ensure they trigger. Once working you can introduce those to filter out false alerts. I forget which NVR you have but if you're looking at the local UI you'll find it in the top right corner of the screen...

    Best Indoor WiFi Camera?

TBF sometimes it’s difficult enough getting a Hikvision camera to work correctly with a Hikvision NVR due to various firmware anomalies. It’s a while since I set up basic events on an EZVIZ and I might be remembering incorrectly so do try it via ivms 4200 as that may work better (for altering...

    Hikconnect issues / VCAs

First check the logs - is it registering a line crossing event for that camera? Pointless checking any further if the event is not triggering. Second - set the line crossing up from the NVR NOT the camera. Deselect ‘notify surveillance center’ save then deselect it and save. Third - Have you...

Leaving house - reset factory settings for handover?

Initially just change your admin password to something else (they can change it again later). Changing your admin password won't affect your existing access on Hik-Connect. On the day you move out: go onto your Hik-Connect app home page click the 3 dots to the right of your site name click...

    Best Indoor WiFi Camera?

The camera I'm using only has Basic events (motion detection). If you're using an NXI model NVR you may be able to use the NVR for AcuSense. Hikvision used to do their cube cameras in a WiFi version but don't anymore and I'm not aware of any other available Hikvision WiFi cameras. The Ezviz is...

    Best Indoor WiFi Camera?

You can still remove it from the EZVIZ app. Motion detection can be set up from the NVR in the usual way. Otherwise you end up in a situation getting push notifications from both apps. I have one in my garage permanently recording to the NVR.

    Best Indoor WiFi Camera?

I've also used the EZVIZ WiFi cameras a few times. There's a bit of a learning curve to get them going initially with a Hikvision NVR: Create an Ezviz account Download and open the Ezviz app Run the setup in the app to discover and add the WiFi in the camera Once connected to the WiFi - delete...

    Hikconnect issues / VCAs

Yeah apparently Virgin do it a bit differently and the ONT is actually part of their Hub 5 (they have a different version of the Hub 5 with this functionality). Apparently there is a workaround using a flashed SFP module. That allows you to put the SFP into a switch or router and connect the...

    Hikconnect issues / VCAs

If you have different login details the 'owner' (the account to which the NVR is registered) is in control of sharing to other users. If when sharing was set up, alarms were included in the sharing, then that user can also arm/disarm alarms. Arming/Disarming applies to the NVR/DVR/Camera, so...

    Hikconnect issues / VCAs

If all three of you are using the same Hik-Connect login, then yes. However the app view on the other phones doesn't dynamically refresh so it'll look like it's still armed until the screen is dragged to refresh on the other devices.
