I picked up a 12MP fisheye camera pretty cheap 2nd hand and noticed it's quite warm to the touch.
Infrared thermometer has it near 40 degrees C (104f). Just wondering is this normal?
The ambient temp is about 18C (64f). I'm powering it over POE and it just sitting on a block of paper so it...
Theres a setting somewhere to remove fisheye lens distortion. It will narrow your FOV. Maybe worth checking if it's enabled on the camera with the narrow FOV.
It's in the guide but very important to never open the default ports used by the NVR on the router. Always customise them. E.g. instead of port 443 use 40443.
When an exploit comes out, script kiddies will scan IP blocks for known ports and check if the exploit works. They don't scan all ports...
Sorry know this is an old thread. Leaving this here incase anyone has the same problem.
Changing the WDR setting from the default 50 > 20 (other WDR setting probably work too) fixed this for me.
The purple hue was in the recorded video footage too btw.
3D zoom is working again for my PTZ cameras, stange as I think Dan said this DVR didn't support it. The webservice kept going down on .061 for me. Only time will tell if they have fixed that. I feel like a beta tester which isn't ideal, at least we are still getting updates. Oh and the web...
Thanks, It wasn't on the UK portal for some reason.
I updated and now when there is motion and the monitor goes full screen, when it goes back to quad view, 1 or 2 of the cameras say 'no resource" for a few seconds. :(
I done mine all via browser and I didn't need to touch the NVR but your milageay vary. Also I don't think the K1 supports v4.30.055, is that not for the K2?
Lack of 3D PTZ not a deal breaker as the presets are much easier to access now. Thanks for looking into this.
I haven't had any issues with the firmware after 5 days now and the new UI is much improved so worth the update for me.
Oh there was one oddity, I've virtual host enabled and on...
Upgraded from V3 to this earlier, so far so good.
Can't figure out how to do 3D PTZ but everything else seems to working including previews on the hik-connect app.
Just turning on smart tracking isn't always the best option. This video has a pretty good guide on how to use it with intrusion detection or line crossing.
If you use hikconnect, you can click the scissors at the start of of the video clip (Durning playback) and again to stop and save the file. It's pretty instant and the file is in a standard format.
Your DVR can be controlled via Infrared remote. However they seem to pick up signals from other remotes, a bit of black tape over the front where the LEDs are and it will stop happening, I promise.
